Graduate Ambassadors The Graduate Ambassador Program, launched Fall 2004, provides opportunities and venues for graduate students to be actively involved in building and promoting a graduate community and to create a network for communication and assistance among prospective, current and former graduate students. Students may become Graduate Ambassadors either by volunteering for specific tasks, or by signing up for the program in general and committing to projects as they come. Graduate Ambassadors serve within their own sphere of influence and/or comfort level, in their department, their organization, or across the university, for the length of time for which they are interested and able to commit. Examples of participation include assisting with orientation, preview weekend, GSA and Graduate School events, mentoring new graduate students within department/college, etc. Graduate Ambassadors commit to participate in at least one project/program, and attend at least one meeting or seminar or workshop per year. Graduate Ambassadors also agree to have their name, department and the activity/task(s) for which they have committed listed on the program's homepage. Benefits
