Hokie SPA (Student Personal Access)
The Hokie SPA interactive website includes the Timetable of Classes and allows you to submit your course request, drop and add courses, view your exam schedule, and see your grades. It is also the web interface with the University's information network. It allows you to view and update your personal information and access your Student Accounts information. You must activate your Virginia Tech PID before you can access this site. You are responsible for providing address updates through Hokie SPA, a billing address (if different than your mailing address), change of name or identification number, etc.

Graduate Student Listserve
The Graduate School maintains e-mail listservs through which official communication is sent to the graduate student community.

Grads-bburg@listserv.vt.edu (for Blacksburg students) OR Grads-ext@listserv.vt.edu (for students at extended campus locations) are the official channels of communication of the Graduate School to distribute important information on Graduate School dates and deadlines, benefits to graduate students, or changes in policies and procedures that affect graduate students. Notices may also include funding or educational opportunities targeted to graduate students. Messages are posted on a need basis. Students cannot unsubscribe from the list.

Glc-programs@listserv.vt.edu, which initially includes all currently enrolled graduate students at the Blacksburg campus, is used to notify graduate students and other interested individuals of the programs and activities available in the Graduate Life Center at Donaldson Brown. Notices are also posted about other events and activities organized or co-sponsored by the Graduate School or by other campus organizations, if the target audience includes graduate students. Students or other interested individuals may subscribe to or unsubscribe from the list any time.

A calendar of events and important notices are also posted on the Graduate School website under Announcements and on the Calendar. Graduate Life Center activities are posted to the Graduate Life Center website and Calendar of Events.

My VT  

After you have activated your PID, you will have access to My VT, a site where you can view news and events, your course schedule and personal information, bursar's account, and university services. You may also explore various forums and news groups to connect to other Virginia Tech students.
