IGERT at Virginia Tech
| Virginia Tech is one of the few universities
in the United States that has received four of the National
Science Foundation’s highly competitive Integrative Graduate Education
and Research Traineeship (IGERT) awards. The IGERT program is designed
to provide training opportunities for Ph.D. students in the sciences,
mathematics, engineering, and technology that deepen technical competency,
promote interdisciplinary problem-solving, and prepare students to
become innovative and influential leaders in their chosen professions.
Interested students should apply to the IGERT program that suits their research interests. Those accepted to the programs receive a generous stipend, tuition, and fees. |
