Graduate Education Week Awards Banquet
6:00-9:00pm, GLC Multipurpose Room
This prestigious event honors students who have distinguished themselves at Virginia Tech in areas of teaching, research, and service, including the outstanding dissertation and thesis recipients, outstanding master's and doctoral students from each college, and the student of the year recipients. The Alumni Association presents awards for outstanding graduate teaching and outstanding graduate student service. By invitation only.
Free Graduate Education Week t-shirts and BreakZONE coupons will be distributed to graduate students.
Grad Movie Night at the Lyric, featuring The Orphanage
Showings at 7:00 and 9:15pm, The Lyric Theatre
Enjoy a night at the movies, compliments of the Graduate School and The Lyric Theatre. The Orphanage, is a superb haunted house story from Spain, according to its official website. 250 free tickets are available on a first-come, first served basis at the GLC information desk or in Graduate School student services. |
