Outstanding Student Awards
The Graduate School sponsors awards in several categories of outstanding merit in conjunction with Graduate Education Week at Virginia Tech, including outstanding student from each college and outstanding dissertation. The Alumni Association sponsors the outstanding graduate teaching assistant and service awards.

Conference of Southern Graduate Schools
Masters Thesis Award
The Conference of Southern Graduate Schools is an organization of over 200 graduate schools in fifteen southern states. Thesis award criteria included clarity of style and presentation, scholarship, research methodology, and contributions to the field or discipline.
