Dear Colleague:

Graduate students surmount many obstacles in pursuit of their educational goals. They meet rigorous admission requirements and demonstrate their capabilities throughout their studies. By doing so they earn the privilege of having access to outstanding faculty and university resources.

Virginia Tech has an excellent reputation for identifying and recruiting quality graduate students. The following roster shows the breadth of these students’ accomplishments in being awarded fellowships, scholarships, and other honors this past academic year. Funding for the awards comes from both internal and external sources. Many of the brightest students today are receiving awards from benefactors whose philanthropic visions many years ago foresaw the potential for Virginia Tech to become a top research institution.
